What is Naloxone?
Naloxone is a medication than can reverse an opioid overdose. It can help a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped as a result of overdosing with heroin or prescription opioid medications.
Is it Safe?
Naloxone is very safe. The only effect it has is reversing an opioid overdose. It will not cause harmful side effects if it is administered to someone who has not overdose on an opioid.
What does it look like?
Naloxone comes is available to the public in two forms – a nasal spray and auto injector
